Roman Rofalski solo
Roman Rofalski - Piano, Synths, samples & processing
Pianist Roman Rofalski presents his new solo program, where the acoustic piano meets synthesizers and live digital processing.
Drawing from a wide musical background—ranging from early techno experiments and rock bands to classical piano studies, jazz, and avant-garde—Roman brings together these influences in a fresh and distinctive sound. His music blends contemporary improvisation with samples and a strong touch of 1990s club culture.
The aim: to fuse the traditional sound of the piano with electronic elements in a way that lets both speak in their own voice while forming a cohesive whole. All elements are performed live, allowing space for spontaneity and interaction. The result is a series of pieces that unfold as layered sonic landscapes—sometimes based on set sounds or patterns, sometimes fully structured, sometimes open and free.
Between piano, synthesizers, samples, and real-time effects, Roman creates an expanded form of piano performance that speaks to today’s musical landscape.
Audiences can expect a journey that bridges the concert hall, the art space, and the jazz club—sometimes digital, sometimes analog, but always vibrant and full of creative energy.
