Discover the vibrant world of natural dyes in this hands-on workshop, where we'll focus on simple, accessible materials you can find right in your kitchen or local neighborhood. We'll explore the differences between protein and cellulose fabrics and how these materials react to natural dyes.
You’ll also discover simple methods for mordanting—techniques to help set the dye and ensure vibrant, long-lasting colors—and experiment with different tying techniques to create unique patterns.
In this workshop, you'll go home with:
- a booklet of instructions so you can repeat the process independently
-a silk scarf that you've dyed
-hands-on experience with all your questions answered
