🎞️ DÓRA MAURER RETROSPECTIVE
A special highlight is the two-part retrospective of Hungarian artist Dóra Maurer (b. 1932), a leading figure of the neo-avant-garde. Her cross-disciplinary works reflect decades of experimentation and resistance during Hungary’s socialist era. The focus offers a parallel approach to a main program—precision, movement, repetition—where image becomes a dynamic system of variation.
Screenings: May 23 & 24, in cooperation with Collegium Hungaricum Berlin and the Hungarian National Film Archive.
🎞️ WORKSHOP
In the workshop “Recipes of Disaster – Direct Animation and Looping with 16mm Film, Paper & Scotch Tape,”filmmakers Christin Turner and Christian Flemm guide participants through playful analog experimentation.
