ABOUT THE BOOK

From May to October 2024, designer and curator Tina Roeder embarked on a series of 12 dog walks—and one cat walk—with transdisciplinary professionals from the fields of art, design, and architecture. What began as conversations about dogs and daily routines soon evolved into deeper discussions, touching on themes of connection, social structures, and the impact of modern life.

This unique conversation format, now documented in book form, builds upon CONCEPTUAL CONVERSATIONS, an extended talk series and ongoing curated program initiated by Roeder. Both formats trace their roots to CONCEPTUAL SUBSTANCE, a curatorial project and group exhibition presented at Eternithaus during Gallery Weekend Berlin in 2023—originally conceived in Berlin in 2009.

The reading will be a ping pong dialogue with Craig Barrow—an artist and designer born in Nottingham, UK, based in Berlin—who is one of the twelve professionals and colleagues featured in the book.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tina Roeder, is a designer and curator based in Berlin, after having studied and lived in London, UK and Eindhoven, NL under Droog Design. Her work is concerned with the transdisciplinary conceptual practice in the field of art, design, and architecture.
