Origin as Encounter. Identity through Exchange.

The exhibition Common Ground approaches origin not as a fixed point of departure, but as a form of relationship – a dynamic field that constantly shifts through dialogue with others, with experiences, and with diverse perspectives. Identity is not asserted here – it emerges: through exchange, through friction, through togetherness.
The participating artists bring with them different backgrounds and narratives. What unites them is a shared willingness to view origin not as a boundary, but as an invitation – a starting point for collective reflection on belonging, memory, and connection.
Their works reveal how identity takes shape through the gaze of others, through cultural intersections, and through shared stories. The common ground this exhibition opens up is not uniform – but rather a multilayered space in which differences become generative, proximity arises, and new connections come into view.
