Jakob Manz Summer Residency 2025 DAY1
TODAY: Jakob Manz Power Union with Joshua Milo-Thomas Stieger-Elliot van Brabandt
German Jazz prodigy Jakob Manz hosts a full week of concerts at A-Trane, featuring performances of some of the finest rising-stars in European Jazz, as well as a world-premiere of groove-infused music that will be presented on stage for the very first time!
Jakob Manz has build his name as one of the finest up-and-coming artists in European Jazz. While he only turned 24 a few weeks ago, he has already perfomed the biggest jazz stages in Germany and has been chosen as the youngest Artist in Residence at prestigious Alte Oper Frankfurt, featuring multiple concerts across 2025 and 2026. With his Jakob Manz Project, he has played hundreds of sold-out concerts across Europe in the past few years. As a saxophone & flute player, he is as well recognized for his love for powerful grooves and driving rhythms, as well as for his melodic and beautiful-to-listen-to sound on the instrument.
At A-Trane, Jakob Manz will give the stage to Deutsche Jazzpreis-winner Shuteen Erdenebaatar with her quartet, as well as presented a duo premiere with double bass wizard Nils Kugelmann. As a highlight of this week, Jakob will present the world premiere of a new, carefully handcrafted band of European Jazz and Groove talents „Power Union„, including Emma Rawicz, Josua Milow, French drums discovery Elliot van Brabandt and of course Jakob himself.
“I’m super excited to return to A-Trance for this special week with 7 concerts in a row. A-Trane has supported me from the very beginning of my musical adventures in Berlin, and to me, it’s a place where magic can happen every time on stage. Every concert in this week will be absolutely unique, and I’m very much looking forward to present some of my most favourite artist on those nights. It’s a great advantage to play and perform music on the same stage for several days in a row, as it will allow the musicians to really explore and delevop the music behind. I’m confident that the audience will enjoy this journey as much as I will. It will be amazing!”
