Guadalupe River State Park

Join us for a day of exploration, hiking, and water play!

I recommend bringing:
-Beverages to stay hydrated
-Snacks
-Water toys
-Water shoes (it is very rocky in the water)
-Sunblock
-Bug spray
-An umbrella or hat for shade (there are some shaded areas but it is limited right next to the water)
-Foldable chair
-Towel
-Change of clothes

💦 The water is about ankle deep in the area we will be at but there is a slightly deeper area just down the way if you want to bring floaties.

🔍 The Discovery Center is open from 10am-2pm and has pelts, skulls, skeletons, and junior ranger backpacks with all sorts of tools to use! There is also a small garden and plenty of hiking trails!

💵 It costs $7 per car for entry into the park.

🧭 Go all the way to the end of the road once you enter and the last parking lot is between the Discovery Center and pathway to the water. There are restrooms close by and there is a stroller friendly path to the water.

☀️ 🍃 I’ll be bringing turmeric paper to make sun prints with nature items we find on the hike! Please let me know how many kids want a paper.
