Library Talk: Astronomy Benalla Inc.

Telescopes have developed quite a bit since their creation in the early 1600's, and thankfully Benalla is home to a thriving group with newer telescopes capable of viewing much more than their early refractory predecessors.

Join us during National Science Week at the Benalla Library for an evening spectacle with members from Benalla’s very own astronomy club. Passionate club members will patiently explain the ins and outs of telescopes including recommendations about entry level viewing equipment, how smart phones can help your star mapping, and whether you have it takes to look up at the night sky (spoiler alert – You do!).

‘Astronomy Benalla Inc.’ is a community organisation formed in 2010 with the aim of promoting the interest and enjoyment of amateur astronomy. Whether they are familiar faces or new friends, come to the library and help support Astronomy Benalla as they remind us the importance of looking up.
