Library Talk: Skype a Scientist – Katherine Rose Gold

What is a protoplanetary nebula? Why is sulphur so important? Who is Frosty Leo and what makes them so special? How did ‘Star Wars’ and the ‘Kessel Run’ confuse the world about the unit of measurement known as a ‘parsec’?

Join us as we get these questions and more answered by fifth-year Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Arizona, Katherine Rose Gold. Katherine’s expertise in astrochemistry will help us explore our big questions as we celebrate the 2025 Science Week Theme: ‘Decoding the Universe - Exploring the unknown with nature’s hidden language’. Be sure to submit your cosmic questions to the Benalla Library, ahead of the event.
