Memorial Tree Planting in Honor of Jan Winer McLeod

We’ll be gathering for the planting of a red maple tree at Leila Arboretum in memory of my mom—a living tribute made possible by the generosity and love so many of you poured into the memorial fundraiser. My family and I are deeply grateful.

We’ll meet near the Fantasy Forest area (where the carved wooden statues are), just to the right as you enter the Arboretum. Parking is available in the main lot to the left of the entrance or in a small lot just past Fantasy Forest on the right. Arboretum staff will guide us to the exact planting site.

As we scatter a portion of her ashes into the roots, this red maple will take hold and grow—a quiet, beautiful reminder that even in loss, love continues to take shape. All are welcome to join us in this peaceful moment of remembrance, connection, and rooted legacy.
