*Grade 1 scrambling is for fit and agile current mountain walkers. The use of hands and taking high steps is necessary on this terrain. This is a harder approach to 'hiking' where footpaths meet steeper hands on sections. This is NOT rock climbing, no helmets or ropes are required.
