Creu Cadwyn a Clystdlysau Clai Arian/Make a Precious Silver Clay Pendant and Earrings - Elin Mair

Byddwn yn ymarfer eich dyluniad gan ddefnyddio clai polymer cyn symud ymlaen i weithio gyda Precious Metal Clay (PMC). Mae PMC yn gyfuniad o rwymwyr organig, dŵr, a gronynnau microsgopig o arian wedi'u hailgylchu. Mae'r clai yn cael ei ffurfio â llaw i siâp, ychwanegu'r gwead dymunol, cyn ei sychu, ei sandio, ac yna ei danio mewn odyn. Mae'r broses tanio yn tynnu'r rhwymwr ac yn asio'r metel i mewn i ffurf solet.

A fantastic opportunity to learn how to design and create your own silver clay pendant and earrings with the maker of the 2023 National Eisteddfod crown, Elin Mair!

We’ll practice your design using polymer clay before moving on to work with Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC is a combination of organic binders, water, and microscopic recycled particles of silver. The clay is hand-formed into a shape and the desired texture added, before being dried, sanded, and then fired in a kiln. The firing process removes the binder and fuses the metal into a solid form.
