Learn how to make a gluten free sourdough starter, and gluten free dark rye-style bread, at home.
A Knowledge Sharing Session / Cooking Class
with Julie from SBA’s Kitchen
To begin the session, you will each make your own gluten free starter to take home and nurture ready to make your next loaf of rye-style sourdough bread. Then you will actually make the dough for a loaf that, again, you will take home, this time, to proof and bake.
Once you have your starter and dough made and set aside, you will work together to make sourdough discard pancakes, sourdough discard crackers and a selection of smørrebrød, to be shared by all, as we sit and relax to finish the session.
Please note that you will need to bring a loaf tin (approx 21cm x 11 cm), and a 1 litre glass jar with you on the day.
