Formerly used exclusively by the Queensland Railway Executives to tour and inspect the railway network, these iconic railmotors now offer a unique opportunity for passengers to travel in style and comfort.
Passengers can sit directly behind the drivers watching the track ahead though the panoramic widescreens to feel the excitement of being at the heart of the action as you traverse through the scenic countryside.
Our meticulously restored, air-conditioned railmotors ensure that every moment of your journey is as delightful as it is memorable. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply seeking a unique adventure, our railway tours offer an unforgettable experience.
The total rail experience will last approximately 12 hours.
Trip Itinerary
The Commissioner's Railmotor will depart our Drayton Station at 7am, arriving at Stanthorpe Truffle Farm at 11:30am. There passengers will be given a tour of the facilities before enjoying a delicious lunch of pizza, pasta and salad at Vincenzo's at 1pm.
Morning and afternoon tea will be served during the day.
We expect to return to Drayton before 7pm.
Please Note:
• Drinks are NOT included at Vincenzo's but are available for purchase.
• Vincenzo's is unable to cater for special dietary requirements or food allergies.
• Passengers are strongly encouraged to wear flat, comfortable shoes as the experience will be held outdoors on varying surfaces including gravel, grass and some uneven walkways.

Please plan to arrive at DownsSteam at least 30 minutes before departure.
Onboard toilets are available on both railmotors.
Concession fares are not available for this trip.
Light refreshments and snacks are also available for purchase from onboard the railmotors and the visitor souvenir shop will also be open before the tour.
We will endeavour to honour advance seating requests, however, we cannot guarantee any particular seat. We reserve the right to assign or reassign seats at any time, even after boarding the train. This may be necessary for operational, safety, security or other reasonable reasons.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, due to the era of the Railmotors, wheelchair access is not available. Access requires using steps into the carriages.
