Airline historian, "Sunshine Skies" author and webmaster David Henderson presents a look back at dozens of colorful and unique small airlines that once flew the skies of the Peach and Sunshine states. These companies were led by bold, ambitious, sometimes eccentric, and occasionally criminal characters flying everything from single-engine puddle-jumpers to large post-war propliners. The role of intrastate and local service airlines Air Florida, Southern, Piedmont and Republic will also be highlighted.
