The Art of Shape Shifting: Feeling the horse’s movement through our own body

Meg is teaming up again with Deb Murphy, licensed Feldenkrais practitioner and Centered Riding Instructor for this unique and playful horseless workshop. Deb will start off the morning leading the group through some Awareness Through Movement® exercises that focus on bringing awareness to our pelvis and spine. These will be centered around spinal health and mobility and help us create better body awareness. We’ll have a short discussion in between and then Meg will lead us through various movements to help create an understanding of how our horse need to move for healthy posture and how we influence them in riding work. There will be a focus on bending and lateral movements. Fresh baked snacks, fruit, coffee and tea are provided in the morning. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch and stay for a group lunch when we finish at 12:30. This event will be capped at 20 people. No particular fitness level is required. This is meant to be open to all those interested, regardless of experience with Feldenkrais, fitness, flexibility, etc. Just bring an open mind. Cost is $85/person
