Blast from the Past Weekend

Step back in time with Blast from the Past Weekend! All programs are free and you do not have to be camping to attend our programs. Rain dates will be held in the Visitor Center Classroom. Vehicle passes are required for vehicles entering state parks.

Dakota Explorers: Native American Games

Visitor Center Classroom at 10am
Did you know that some of the most popular games were created by Native Americans? Lacrosse, archery and even card games being the most known! So come on down to the Visitor center to play all of the games that have lived on for centuries!

CCC Hike
Saturday, August 9th
Playground Lot at 2pm
Lace up your boots and step back on time with a hike through history with the Civilian Conservation Corps! Explore our historic buildings while uncovering the stories of the individuals who built parks, blazed trails, and shaped America’s great outdoors during the Great Depression.

Pioneer Games
Saturday, August 9th
Amphitheater at 8pm
Get ready for some old-fashioned fun with us at Pioneer Games! Discover how kids on the frontier played and stayed entertained.
