Park in the Dark Weekend

Venture into the night with our Park in the Dark weekend! All programs are free and you do not have to be camping to attend our programs. Rain outs will be held in the Visitor Center Classroom. Vehicle passes are required for vehicles entering state parks.

Going Batty!!!

Did you know that there are over 1400 species of bats worldwide? Fly on down to the amphitheater to explore the beautiful bats that call North Dakota home!

Dakota Explorers: Things that Glow
Saturday, August 30th
Visitor Center Classroom at 10am
Fungus, fish and Fireflies Oh-My! Join us at the amphitheater to dive into the amazing world of bioluminescence and how animals and plants all over the world glow!

Creatures of the Night
Saturday, August 30th
Amphitheater at 8pm
Discover the wild side of the dark with us at Creatures of the Night! It’s a fun, not-too-spooky look into owls, bats, and other nighttime critters.

Night Hike
Saturday, August 30th
Amphitheater at 9pm
Face your fears of the dark! See how you are adapted to the dark! Please no light up shoes or flashlights!
