Night Sky Weekend

Look to the stars with our Night Sky weekend! All programs are free and you do not have to be camping to attend our programs. Rain outs will be held in the Visitor Center Classroom. Vehicle passes are required for vehicles entering state parks.

Our Solar System
Friday, August 22nd
Amphitheater at 8pm
3, 2, 1 Takeoff! Blast off to the amphitheater to to fly through the solar system and explore the eight amazing planets that we share our neighborhood with!

Dakota Explorers: Constellations and the Night Sky
Saturday, August 23rdVisitor Center Classroom at 10amThere are over 80 constellations that are in the night sky! Join us at the Visitor Center for a fun filled time exploring the history, and stories, that each constellation has to share.

Stars and Stories
Saturday, August 23rd
Amphitheater at 8pm
Join us for Stars and Stories, where the night sky comes alive. Discover constellations and the legends behind them, from ancient heroes to magical creatures.

Star Gazing
Saturday, August 23rd
Agassiz Picnic Shelter at 9pm
Experience the wonder of the night sky with Stargazing at Turtle River! See stars, planets, and maybe even a shooting star, far from city lights.
