Keti Koti: BROKEN CHAINS 3 - Shamba Lion Sound System in Session

Keti Koti, which translates to “Broken Chains”, is the Annual Commemoration of Slavery and the Celebration of its Abolishment in the Netherlands.

For this special day Shamba Lion Sound System will be at De VerbroederIJ to celebrate freedom with conscious and educative Reggae Music! FREE ENTRANCE

Besides our 3 Scoop Stack and Roots & Culture Music, we will provide an Information Stand in with information about the fight for Reparations and 1873, to remember that on the 1st of July 1863 slavery was abolished by law, but slavery did not actually end in Dutch Colonies until 1 July 1873!
