Motherhood in the Colony is not just a film—it’s a global moment. On this day, for the very first time, audiences from Australia to Palestine to Amsterdam will experience the worldwide premiere of this powerful documentary together.

This storytelling project is an offering: of listening and learning, of shared resistance and collective dreaming. Through the lens of motherhood, it explores the bonds between Indigenous women across continents and generations, centering wisdom, survival, and love in the face of colonial violence.

Whether you come with your friend or invite your mom to join you, this is an evening to hold close. Bring someone you love and be part of a global gathering that spans oceans and stories.

With support from Common Ground, celebrated Worimi filmmaker Genevieve Grieves and renowned Palestinian artist Aseel Tayah bring together eight First Nations and Palestinian women. Their stories unravel colonial trauma and reveal mothering as an act of resistance—and of hope.
