Misinformation is contagious—and correcting it after the fact isn’t always enough. But what if we could stop it from taking hold in the first place? In this thought-provoking conversation hosted by behavioral scientist Stuart Vyse, Sander van der Linden, author of FOOLED: The Dangerous Deception of Misinformation, will introduce the science of “prebunking”: a psychological approach that exposes people to weakened forms of misleading tactics in order to build cognitive resistance.
Van der Linden will share cutting-edge research and real-world applications developed with public health authorities and tech companies to help people recognize and reject manipulation before it spreads.
