What's in your Water?!

We will be testing the water from bottled water companies that doesn’t have our best interest.

-Sampling a water that has healing properties and helps with longevity.

-Learning what’s actually in the water and gathering inside on an alternative much healthier water that saves environment and saves us money.

The goal is to empower our community and provide a solution to the problem the economy has placed on us.

My journey in Health and wellness actually started at honest weight. Grew up here in Albany and graduated from Albany High school. Attended Hudson Valley for economics.

As a child I would accompany my mom when she would shop at the location on central ave behind family dollar. I’ve been eating vegetarian since 7 years old.

While working at Bimbo Bakeries 2018, a couple blocks away, I would come visit on my lunch break and get fruits and food from the hot bar.

2019 is when I started to eat vegan food and Honest weight served a wide variety of vegan foods to my satisfaction.

I have since developed the discipline to stay on healthy eating habits and began to be an influence for my friends and family.

This is what led me to becoming a self published author. I wrote a book with the steps need to identify your goals and put them into action to get the results you desire.

I have a passion for educating my peers on the benefits of taking a close look at what we consume.

I always say we are what we eat and we are here for a good time and not a long time so we should be intentional on what we put into our bodies.

For years I was putting off becoming a member owner because I was going so much traveling around the world I couldn’t find time to do member hours.

I finally decided to be a fellow members owners and be a support to our local community based grocery store.

The bulk section and herbs and spices is like none other I’ve seen. I’ve been to many place and they cannot compare.

Zayre Barksdale is a Front end Manager at Honest Weight Food Co-op, and Detox Specialist with Surviving Vegan Academy. He is passionate with holistic practices and anatomy and physiology
