Yonkers Waterfront Walking Tour

Why was Philipse Manor Hall built where it was? Why did the Munsee have a village in downtown Yonkers for thousands of years? How did the Yonkers waterfront change over time? Learn the answers to these questions and more as you explore the daylighted Saw Mill River and Yonkers’ Hudson River waterfront with a knowledgeable guide and historic images.
Tickets:
Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, and kids 12 & under and Friends of Philipse Manor Hall members get in free! Tickets include museum admission. Museum open 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Before you Arrive:
This walking tour takes a circular route of approximately 1 mile from Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site (located at 29 Warburton Ave., Yonkers, NY) down to the Yonkers Waterfront and back again. Tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen or a hat. Tour departs promptly at 10:30 a.m., museum opens at 10:00 a.m. Museum accessible via Hudson line train, car, or bus.
