Queensland’s unique forests and bushland are under threat from deforestation linked to unsustainable practices that continue to destroy critical habitat for our native wildlife. But a better way is possible, and you’re invited to be part of it.
Join us for the Eco Ekka, a vibrant, family-friendly event where we celebrate nature, community, and the growing movement to shift towards deforestation-free farming and forest protection.
This event reimagines what Queensland’s agricultural future could look like sustainable and respectful of the places we love.
What’s happening:
- Live music and a kids’ zone with face painting and fun activities
- A deforestation-free BBQ (veg. options available!)
- Talks from Wilderness Society Campaigners on how we’re coming together to end Queensland’s deforestation crisis
- Our Action Station where you can take meaningful actions to pressure governments and corporations to protect forests and bushland–for nature, people and the climate
- A raffle, coffee van and plenty of community spirit!
Whether you’ve been part of the campaign already or are just starting to learn about the issue, Eco Ekka is a space to connect, celebrate what’s worth protecting, and be part of creating a better future for Queensland’s forests, bushland and communities.
RSVP now to help us plan catering and make your day at Eco Ekka one to remember.
