NEAR DARK (1987) in 35mm

Sink your teeth into Near Dark (1987) in 35mm at the Gap Theatre on June 17. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, this cult-classic vampire western follows a young drifter (Adrian Pasdar) who’s lured into a nomadic clan of bloodthirsty outsiders after falling for a mysterious girl (Jenny Wright). As he grapples with his new, violent existence, he’s drawn deeper into a dangerous underworld led by scene-stealing performances from Lance Henriksen, Bill Paxton, and Jenette Goldstein. Stylish, moody, and fiercely original, Near Dark blends horror, romance, and western grit into a haunting tale of love, loyalty, and survival after dark.
