Intro to Witchcraft: Ethics, History & Modern Practice
June 20th
7:00pm
Curious about witchcraft? Join us for a welcoming, beginner-friendly class that explores the roots, ethics, tools, and truths of magical practice—past and present.
We’ll begin with ethics and intent, the foundation of all responsible magic. Learn the importance of consent, the Wiccan Rule of Three, and how spellwork begins with clear, heartfelt intention.
From there, we’ll dive into key components of witchcraft:
How to set and focus your intention
Using correspondences like moon phases, herbs, and colors
Spell tools like candles, crystals, and petitions
Energy work: raising, releasing, and grounding
Discover the real history of witches—from ancient figures like Circe and Hecate, to the fear-fueled witch hunts of Europe and Salem. We’ll unpack myths, legends, and how the image of the witch evolved over time.
Finally, we’ll explore what witchcraft looks like today. Whether it’s Wicca, folk magic, or eclectic spiritual practice, modern witches connect with nature, healing, and empowerment—not harm.
This class is perfect for the curious, the skeptical, and the seekers alike. No experience necessary—just bring an open mind and a desire to learn!
Pre-registration is required. Cost is $25 and can be paid in cash at the store, or by credit card following the link below
