Join us at Sip N' Science: Behind The Brew on Friday, August 29th for an evening of science, conversation, and a refreshing look at one of the world’s oldest and most beloved beverages—beer. Guided by Matt Bitsche of Wichita Falls Brewing Company, we’ll explore what beer is, what it’s made of, and why it varies so much around the world.
We’ll start by breaking down the core ingredients—grain, hops, yeast, and water—and how each one influences flavor, texture, and style. From there, we’ll dive into the fascinating history of beer, tracing its roots across cultures and time periods, and how those regional traditions continue to shape modern brewing. We’ll finish the evening with a look at how those ingredients come together in the brewing process to create the beers we enjoy today.
Bring a friend, grab a drink, and enjoy a fun, informative evening with Matt at River Bend Nature Center.
This event is 21+, and tickets are $25 for non-members and $20 for River Bend members. Wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres are included to make the evening even more enjoyable.
