Profitez du soleil de minuit en assistant au concert du Solstice Saint-Jean à Dawson! Dès 20 h, le Klondike Institute of Art & Culture (KIAC) vous invite à des performances musicales avec le groupe Ketchup & Mustard Old Time Gang et l’artiste québécoise Brigitte Jardin, accompagnée de son acolyte préférée, Caroline Allatt. Une soirée au rythme country-folk vous attend!

À propos des artistes :
Brigitte Jardin
Originaire du Québec, Brigitte Jardin a découvert le Yukon a l’âge de 17 ans et en est tombée amoureuse. À travers sa musique, elle tisse un univers sonore où le country des années 60 s'entrelace avec la chanson francophone, créant une signature musicale à la fois rétro, sensible et résolument personnelle.
Plywood Joe
Plywood Joe est un projet country folk punk imaginé par l’artiste acadien Joey Robin Haché, originaire de Nigadoo, au nord du Nouveau-Brunswick. Inspiré de ses origines, ce personnage unique lui permet d’explorer l’univers des travailleurs du milieu ouvrier dont il est lui-même issu. Plywood Joe évolue dans une réalité bien différente de celle de l’artiste, avec son propre langage et une musique bien à lui.
Major Funk
Le groupe Major Funk a été fondé à Whitehorse en 2014, par le bassiste Étienne Girard. Leur objectif est de faire danser le public dans une ambiance joyeuse, animée par une variété d’instruments et de rythmes entrainants. Portés par les guitares, les cuivres et les claviers, ils déploient une énergie contagieuse pour créer une ambiance festive et chaleureuse.
Le groupe Major Funk sera en tournée dans l’ouest du Canada cet été.

Enjoy the midnight sun at the Solstice Saint-Jean concert in Dawson!
Starting at 8:00 p.m., the Klondike Institute of Art & Culture (KIAC) invites you to a live performance by the band Ketchup & Mustard Old Time Gang and Quebec artist Brigitte Jardin, joined by her favorite musical partner Caroline Allatt. Get ready for a night of country-folk rhythms!
Free admission.
About the artists :
Brigitte Jardin
Originally from Quebec, Brigitte Jardin discovered the Yukon when she was 17 and instantly fell in love. Through her music, she creates a sonic universe where 1960s country blends with francophone songs, crafting a musical signature that is both retro, heartfelt, and deeply personal.
Plywood Joe
Plywood Joe is a country folk punk project created by Acadian artist Joey Robin Haché, originally from Nigadoo in northern New Brunswick. Inspired by his roots, this unique character allows him to explore the world of working-class laborers, a background he himself shares. Plywood Joe lives in a reality quite different from the artist’s own, with his own language and distinctive music.
Major Funk
Major Funk was founded in Whitehorse in 2014 by bassist Étienne Girard. They want to get people dancing in a joyful atmosphere, filled with vibrant instrumentation and upbeat rhythms. With guitars, horns, and keyboards, they bring an irresistible energy to every performance, creating a festive and welcoming vibe.
Major Funk will be touring across Western Canada this summer.
