I will be set up inside the Western Legacy Center. I will have Native American/Mountain Man themed decorated cookies, cupcakes, dipped chocolate treats and mini cakes.
Lost Hawk is Whitehall, Montana’s celebration of frontier spirit, Native American heritage, and the 200th Anniversary of the Mountain Man era. It’s a multi-day event (August 14-17, 2025) that brings history to life through an immersive Mountain Man & Native American Rendezvous, trade market, reenactments, food, family activities, and an Old West-style auction.
The name “Lost Hawk” is inspired by a local legend — when Lewis, Clark, and Sacajawea passed through this region, one of their scouts reportedly lost his prized tomahawk in the Whitehall Valley. That small, symbolic loss became the spark behind this unforgettable celebration of history, survival, and the rugged West.
Whether you're a history buff, a maker, a family looking for fun, or just curious about the roots of Montana’s past — Lost Hawk is a place to step back in time, celebrate the old ways, and make new memories.
