About the event

Banish Burdock Volunteer Meet-Up

Join us on August 5th in Whistler Village. SSISC is collaborating with the Whistler Patagonia store to host a free Banish Burdock community event. Help protect nature by joining us for an invasive plant removal!

WHEN: Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, at 6:00 – 7:30 pm

WHERE: Meet at the Fitzsimmons Nature Trailhead, Whistler Village (Along the valley trail). We will work on removing burdock growing along the valley trail that parallels Lorimer Road.

WHAT: Hands-on work digging out burdock plants, a chance to meet other volunteers, plus light refreshments at the Whistler Patagonia store afterwards.

WHO: Everyone! Please bring your friends and family along
