Join us this Summer at the Audain Art Museum for a series of hands-on Stop Motion Animation Workshops designed for participants aged 8 and up. Each session explores a different animation technique, allowing participants to experiment with storytelling and bring their ideas to life. Inspired by the incredible artworks displayed at the museum, participants will create their own animation using various methods.
Day 1: Dive into cut-out animation, moving paper characters frame by frame to craft unique animated scenes.
Day 2: Introduction to pixilation and object animation, where students will animate people and everyday objects in fun and unexpected ways.
Day 3: Sculpt and animate clay characters, learning the basics of character movement and expression.
Participants will work in small teams of up to three people and must bring a tablet or smartphone for animation (one per team) and their own lunch. No prior experience is needed.
3-day workshop, 9:30am-2:00pm daily.
$150 per person.
Members get 10% off.
