Seagle Festival Meet the Composer

Westport Library and Seagle Festival are excited to present the 2025 Meet the Composer event. Seagle Festival Artistic Director Darren K. Woods will lead off with an introduction of composer Tom Cipullo, the composer and librettist of Seagle Festival’s 2025 production of MAYO BUCKNER: A LIFE INTERRRUPTED. The event will include performance of arias from MAYO BUCKNER as well as Mr. Cipullo’s most performed opera GLORY DENIED by 2025 Seagle Festival Emerging Artists Scott Hetz Clark, baritone, and Georgia Thomas, soprano, accompanied by Seagle Festival faculty member, pianist Yukiko Oba. Darren will lead a conversation with Mr. Cipullo about his inspiration for the creation of MAYO BUCKNER and his other works, and will allow for additional questions from attendees at the event. The event is intended to last approximately 60-75 minutes.
