Inclusion. Courage. Stoke. Rare Disease Athletes and their siblings, this empowering event combines surf therapy, joy, and community to create a safe, judgment-free space where kindness and acceptance rule the waves.

In 2019, Waves for Change initiated a surf therapy event in North Carolina for families faced with a diagnosis of a rare disease. With years of experience supporting surf therapy events for various populations, Gnome Surf and Waves for Change will host this event in New England on September 7th with sponsorship from Scout Clinical supporting athlete travel and logistics.

WHY JOIN? For Kids: A chance to conquer fears, flow with pride, and feel like the legends they are – no trophies needed, just pure pride! For Families: Watch confidence soar as your child is celebrated for their unique strengths. Bond in a space where everyone belongs.

WHO’S INVITED? Athletes (ages 2–18+), siblings, and families! Zero surf experience required – just bring your courage. Spots are limited.
