Dancing Through The Baroque

In the intimate atmosphere of Studio 3 at the Thomas Dixon Centre, experience the elegance of Baroque music and dance in this FREE concert themed around historical dance.

The Brisbane Baroque Players will perform on period instruments in authentic style, joined by Dance Kaleidoscope demonstrating English Country Dancing. Enjoy the sounds of harpsichord, baroque strings, and baroque wind instruments in a courtly celebration.

You might even recognise some of the music from the beloved BBC Pride and Prejudice series. Together, music and dance unite to recreate the courtly celebrations of the 17th and 18th centuries—ideal for music lovers, history enthusiasts, and curious minds alike!
