Join us for a transformative 2-hour journey that combines the healing power of yoga with the insights of mental health education, led by the compassionate and experienced Susan Dannen, LISW. This unique class will guide you through a grounding yoga flow at the beginning and end, bookending a deeply informative session that explores the nature and impact of stress on our minds and bodies. There will be a grounding & soothing Sound Bath experience at the close of our practice.

Gentle Yoga Flow – Begin with movement and breathwork to ground your body and mind.
Interactive Educational Segment – Learn about: What is Stress? Common Stress Triggers, The Mental & Physical Impact of Stress; How to Manage Stress Effectively; Simple, Practical Tools You Can Use Daily, Restorative Yoga & Reflection – Closing with guided relaxation, restorative poses, and Sound Bath with Jess Evans to integrate what you've learned in your mind & body.
Whether you're new to yoga or seeking deeper understanding of your emotional well-being, this class offers practical tools and a peaceful reset.

Who Should Attend:
This class is for anyone who wants to learn proactive strategies for managing stress. This class is not intended to replace therapy, instead its purpose is to provide education, enhance therapeutic outcomes & allow practice of self-care skills.
Safe & Supportive Environment: With a maximum of 12 students, this trauma-sensitive class allows you to engage at your comfort level. Share only what is comfortable to you.

Instructor: Susan Dannen, RYT-200, LISW, an experienced yoga teacher and mental health professional. Susan is a therapist & co-owner at River Roots Mental Health and Wellness Center in West Des Moines. She regularly teaches seminars nationally & internationally on mental health & wellness to a variety of participants.
Self-investment: $35: You will need to make a $10 non-refundable deposit to secure your space
Materials: Mats and props available. Bring a water bottle. Journals will be available, or you can bring your own. You are welcome to also bring your own mats & props if you prefer.
