Whether you’re a total beginner or just starting your creative journey, this class offers a supportive environment to explore the magic of drawing and painting ocean animals.
With a resource-rich setup and step-by-step guidance, you’ll gain practical drawing techniques and build an understanding of form, colour flow, and perspective—resulting in a finished artwork you’ll be proud to take home.
In this workshop, you will:
Learn the basics of drawing with a focus on ocean creatures—shape, proportion, and composition.
Experiment with colour mixing and the fluidity of paint to bring your drawings to life.
Understand how to capture movement, mood, and texture using both dry and wet mediums.
Build confidence in your artistic expression while working in a warm, encouraging space.
Complete a finished painting guided by Annie’s personalised support and visual resources.

“My work is a heartfelt response to the environment around me. I'm continually drawn to the natural world—oceans, forests, landscapes, and plants. I work in layers and marks to reflect interconnectedness, inspired by natural patterns, Indigenous marks, collage, and stitch. My intent is to evoke beauty and connection through mixed media.”
