Photography Workshop: Fireworks and Night Photography

Learn how to photograph at night including fireworks, carnival rides, and night scenes in general. Learn the best camera settings for different situations to get great results!

This class will have 2 parts: The first part will be in the classroom at the Audubon Center on June 28th from 1pm to 3pm to learn different techniques and camera settings for Fireworks and Night Photography. The second class will be on July 3rd to photograph the Alton Fireworks and the Alton Bridge at Night with hands-on support.

Should you decide to just take the first class, the cost is only $50. If you want to do both sessions (June 28 and July 3) the cost will be $80.

Pre-requisites: Must have a mirrorless or DSLR camera with manual control settings. No cell phones. Lenses should be anywhere from 24mm to 150mm. Zoom lenses are better than prime. Other requirements – Tripod and Cable or Remote Shutter Release.

Note from Madi: I recently purchased this cable shutter release – I find it more reliable than the remote options but that's a personal preference.
