Intro to Paddling-REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!

The Mississippi River Water Trail Association is hosting our 2nd Annual Intro to Paddling Clinic in the calm backwaters of Ellis Bay within the Riverlands Migratory Bird Sanctuary on Saturday, June 7th.

Learn basic strokes, maneuvers, rescue techniques and of course, how to safely enter and exit a kayak.

This clinic is suitable for all levels including people completely new to padding as well as experienced kayakers who want to practice deep water rescues. We have use of a universally accessible kayak ramp should your knees or hips cause concern for getting into a vessel.

We have a limited number of kayaks to borrow.

Registration and boat sign-up begins February 1st.
