35th Lap Around the Sun

Let’s celebrate my 35th lap around the Sun — and my 0.000000155th lap around Sagittarius A*.
The venue is the Island Bay Marine Education Centre, that building nestled in the sands of Island Bay beach. We'll kick off at 4PM.
BYO alcohol (and TYO glass, please) — and if you feel like bringing a snack or dessert, it’ll be most welcome (but seriously, no pressure). I’ll prepare a feijoada as usual.
And yes, there will be music: we’ll start with a forró session to get thigh-to-thigh and shake off the chill of what’s likely to be a cold afternoon. Later on, we’ll dive into a roda de samba, as tradition demands.
So if you’ve got instruments — or just feel like joining the chorus — bring them along.
Playing along is optional, having fun is mandatory.
