The sonorous and dramatic A Child’s Prayer by James MacMillan is an aching tribute to schoolchildren who died tragically in a Scottish school shooting, while Rene Clausen’s In Pace offers a prayer of peace for those slain in the Holocaust 80 years ago, and Rupert Lang’s beautiful Kontakion reassures us that “to earth we shall return with an alleluia.”
