About this Event

JUNE IS BIKE MONTH!

CycleWR and Laurier Wellbeing in Film Forum are excited to invite you to a FREE screening of THE ENGINE INSIDE directed by Darcy Wittenburg, followed by a community discussion. Follow the lives of 6 people from diverse backgrounds who have devoted themselves to a simple, age-old machine - the bicycle. Witness how bicycles have the potential to transform lives and contribute to a better world.

ABOUT CycleWR:

CycleWR is a group of people advocating for cycling in Waterloo Region to be a safe, respected, convenient, and everyday mode of transportation for people of all ages and abilities. CycleWR was founded in January 2018.

We envision a Waterloo Region where people of all ages and abilities feel safe to commute to work, ride to school, run errands, and enjoy their neighbourhoods on their bicycles.

When more people cycle, the Region will be more lively, less congested, and healthier for everyone, no matter how they get around.

What we do

We amplify the voices of a diverse community, communicating a cohesive story about cycling needs to decision makers.

We promote cycling as an essential mode of transportation for all, advocating for the structural and cultural changes that will make this possible.

We celebrate the work of other cycling and active transportation organizations and our municipal governments, collaborating to shape policy and implement projects that benefit people who ride bicycles.
