In late March, we stood on the stage between sets at The Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto for a show we put together in support of The Unison Fund, we thanked the crowd for the support, for supporting Canadian music and for joining us in this great cause. We ended with a simple interaction…
“Hey, we should do this again, like maybe 25 more times LOL”… And off we went.
Well… IT’S A TOUR! Matthew Good and His Band and I Mother Earth will be heading out across this great country together for the first time in our 30+ year careers. We will each be performing our full electric sets, plus a fun combined VIP Acoustic set with both bands playing onstage together. Dates, times, presales, on-sales, ticketing info, favourite colours, etc… will all be shared next week, but we wanted to give the people who follow and support us a bit of a heads up.
The love you all gave us that night in Toronto and throughout the time leading up to the show, is really what made this happen. The vibe in the room between both bands as well as our respective fans was electric and confirmed our feeling that this would be a stellar night of music out on tour. The sheer volume of comments and requests to bring this pairing to different parts of the country made us focus and believe we could make it happen. So here we are. We’re really jazzed that this all came together. Funny how sometimes this shit seems to come together.
