Stroll & Spark: A Curated Singles Walk for Queer Women & Sapphics 35+

Looking to meet new people who get you—without the apps, the pressure, or the noise?
Join Mixtape Sapphics for Stroll & Spark, a curated singles walk created exclusively for queer women and sapphics ages 35 and older. This is your chance to connect with folks in a relaxed, thoughtful, and meaningful way.

• Personalized Matching: One week before the event, you'll receive a short survey. Based on your responses, we'll match you with a small group (5–10 people) of potential connections—folks who align with your energy and values.

• Leisurely Group Walk: On Friday, June 27, meet your group at 6:30 PM at a designated spot near City-State Brewing Co. You'll take a 2-mile walk through Brookland and Edgewood, with time to chat, pause, and enjoy the sights. Expect a relaxed pace—this isn’t a race, it’s a vibe.

• Guided but Self-Led: Each group will get a map and directions with optional points of interest to explore along the way.

• Group Social Afterparty: All groups finish at City-State Brewing Co. between 7:30–7:45 PM for a full-community mingle. Grab a drink, meet the other walkers, and see who else sparks your curiosity.

City-State Brewing Co. is a local gem in Edgewood—community-focused and proudly DC. While they’ve paused in-house brewing, they still serve a rotating tap list of excellent beers, including small-batch local collabs like Red Bear Brewing, a queer owned company. There’s always a food truck onsite, and the space is casual, inclusive, and perfect for meeting up.

We match participants into small walking groups to create space for real connection. If there's high interest, we'll happily match more people—your experience will still feel intimate. RSVP early and keep an eye out for your match survey the week before!
