Organist Aaron Comins

Please join us at National City Christian Church on Friday, June 27, at 12:15 p.m., for our free weekly Music at Midday concert. At this final concert of our spring 2025 season we are welcoming organist Aaron Comins, who will perform a rich variety of works:

• Cortège – Louis Vierne
• Three Dances from “Terpsichore” (1. Ballet de Matelotz; 2. Branson Double No. 3; 3. La Bourée) - Michael Praetorius
• Toccata in A minor – Max Reger
• Toccata from Oedipe a Thebes – Nicolas-Jean Lefroid de Méreaux
• The Old Castle from Pictures at an Exhibition – Modest Mussorgsky
• Toccata on O Filii et Filiae – Lynwood Farnbamn

Aaron Comins graduated from the Manhattan School of Music, received a Masters Degree in Music from the Claremont Graduate School, and did further graduate studies at Utah State University. He has presented organ recitals at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and at St. John the Divine (New York City) as well as here in Washington at National City Christian Church and the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Mr. Comins currently serves as organist at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Staten Island, NY, and has taught music for many years in the New York City public schools.
