A World Pride event celebrating the DC Wellness Center and the artwork on loan from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities Art Bank Collection. Join us to meet artists on display to discuss their art, and the clinical staff will discuss the work they perform for the community and the services the clinic provides to DC residents.
We invite all members of the community to join us, but especially welcome health professionals who live or are visiting the city for World Pride. The event is an opportunity to connect professionally and learn more about the Art Bank Collection that brings energy into a traditional clinic environment, and also share their own experiences surrounding art as a tool for community wellness and healing.
Visitors are invited to walk around the space and view the artwork from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.
Opening remarks and then artist talk/panel from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
The artist panel will be moderated by CAH Curator, Dr. Michelle May-Curry.
Artists speaking: Michael Crossett, Alanna Reeves, Saya Behnam, and Aziza Claudia Gibson-Hunter
PLEASE NOTE: RSVPing doesn't guarantee admittance. Space is available first-come, first-served.
