8-Week Pranayama Series for Teachers

Join Carrie for an additional 2 weeks of training that will equip you to incorporate pranayama into your yoga classes and share this practice with your students. This training is for registered yoga teachers (RYTs) and those currently enrolled in RYT200 training.

Week 1 (5/6): Philosophy and anatomy of pranayama

- Dive deeper into the philosophies of Ashtanga and Hatha yoga and how their different paths to liberation led to different pranayama practices.

- Enhance your understanding of how oxygen is delivered to the body’s tissues and how our breathing impacts our blood and nervous system.

Week 2-7 (5/13 – 6/17): Join the 6-week Pranayama series and practice as a student

Week 8 (6/24): Sharing pranayama with your students

- Discuss what you have learned so far and ask any questions

- Learn strategies for incorporating pranayama into your regular yoga classes

- Receive several 5-minute lesson plans to make the process easy and painless
