About the event

Research Lab Look In: How Plants Manipulate Pollinator Behavior (Online Lecture Series)
Want to know more about how plants manipulate pollen behavior? Join host Isabel as she and Ashley explore how honeybee shaking signals relate to floral food availability. Then the conversation continues through a discussion with Peter about the intriguing world of carnivorous plant predation.

This program is part of a 2-part “Research Lab Look In” summer online lecture series featuring graduate student speakers and their research as it relates to our current exhibit, “Fierce Flora: Tales of Survival and Demise.”

This program is offered as part of the Garden’s partnership with the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Presenters:
• Isabel Emanuel, USBG American Association for the Advancement of Science Fellow;
• Ashley Kim, Graduate Student Researcher, University of California San Diego;
