Out in the deepest parts of the Bay Area, Velvet Grave comes from the depths of grunge to the deliver heavy rock as it should be: loud, aggresive and melodic. Taking cues from their influences, they blend dark riffs, searing vocals and thunderous drums while keeping their own identity. Velvet Grave is Kyle Mendes (Bass/Vocals), Joe Faria (Guitar/Vocals) and Jake Derieux (Drums)
Founded in 2019, Rosewood has taken the local Monterey County scene by storm with a punchy Grunge sound fronted by powerful vocals akin to Chris Cornell or Layne Staley. Andrew Slorance (Lead Singer) brings powerful dynamics and emotional performances to each show. The band matches this energy by delivering driving instrumentals that leave audiences chanting and asking for more.
These four horsemen have a 5-year history of playing a wide variety of music together, deciding to form Rosewood and “see what happens.” The band's sound is a combination of Grunge and Heavy Alt-Rock. Their live shows pair high-energy music with equally high-energy audience engagement. They use evolving verses, heavy breakdowns, and catchy choruses to express shared emotional themes of yearning and perseverance.
Fun is the name of the game when the band is on stage, often inviting audiences to join in on the energy, whether it be by asking questions, starting chants, or just getting the crowd to move. Despite this fun and wild energy, however, the band also prioritizes balancing it with respect for the venue and their goals. Often requested by the City of Seaside for their 4th of July Celebrations, this group delivers a show that engages people right away yet holds their attention. They are available for bookings in Central California, and will consider Southern and Northern California shows and engagements with sufficient notice. Rosewood has close relationships with local bands and is able to include them via Team SB Promotions, if a full lineup is desired.
Concussion: Concussion is School of Rock Walnut Creeks House Band comprised of their top students. Playing everything from Spirit of the Radio by Rush to What You Don’t Do For Love by Bobby Caldwell, they’re sure to have you on your feet and singing along!
