Takano’s first Japanese-only poetry collection Nichiyo-bi no Shinju (Sunday Double Suicide), his second Japanese-only one Hyaku-nen Tattara Aimasho (Why Don't We Meet Again a Hundred Years Later?) and his third Japanese-only one Kishi to Kofu (Knight and Miners) were published in 2019, 2021, and 2024. respectively.
Takano’s relationship with Booranga Writers grew out of contact through the annual Japan Writers Conference over more than a decade. During Booranga’s COVID international poetry Zoom readings, June 2020, Takano was one of the international participants. He is looking forward to being Booranga’s featured writer in August and sharing his work with Riverina writers and readers. While in Wagga, Takano will present a writing workshop with a bilingual flavour (watch for separate event listing).
